The Orphans of Nepal Trust support a number of orphanages in the Kathmandu Valley. Each has different needs but our support has been targeted at providing food, clothing, education materials and healthcare.

ONT works closely with Volunteer Service in Nepal (VSN) to ensure that funds are directed to where they can be most effective, are coordinated with aid from other donors and are fully accounted for. VSN has established a health fund which provide medical checkups and treatment for orphans.

ONT funds have supported the Shining Star, Jyoti Children's Home and Brighter Future Children's Home orphanages.

ONT has also supported selected volunteers' visits to Nepal. These visits have enabled ONT to maintain direct contact with donor groups, orphanages and local organisers in Nepal. They have confirmed that ONT's support has been well directed and does make a real difference to many children."
